How do I know my size?
We designed Founders to fit true-to-size and all our models are offered in a medium (D) width. That written, for those who consistently fit between sizes we suggest you go with the next larger size. Please reference our sizing chart for further detail.
What type of shoe construction do you use?
We make all our shoes outside Naples, Italy using Blake/Rapid construction – full leather insole, full leather midsole, full leather outsole. With Blake/Rapid construction, the leather upper is wrapped around the insole and a Blake stitch runs from the insole, through the upper and into the midsole. There is then a separate Rapid stitch on the exterior of the shoe that runs through the midsole and through the outsole. The Blake/Rapid Stitch construction allows for a slightly slimmer and sleeker shoe than a Goodyear welted shoe while providing significantly more water resistance than mere Blake construction – nearly as much as Goodyear welt construction.
Can you offer some advice on general shoe care and maintenance?
First and foremost, know that each pair of Founders shoes your order comes with a pair of double barrel, high vamp, genuine cedar shoe trees and luxury shoe bags. Shoe trees are the most important part of that care regimen – they maintain the shoe’s shape, fight unnecessary creasing, alleviate odor and help the shoe dry properly. How long will it take for my shoes to arrive?
We process and fulfill all orders out of our warehouse in Brooklyn, New York. All orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days and shipped free of charge. Depending on your shipping address’s proximity to Brooklyn, New York you will receive your shoes in as little as 3 business days but no more than 10 business days. We will also provide you with shipment tracking information as soon as your shoes leave our warehouse. If you need your shoes sooner, we offer expedited shipping quoted directly at checkout.
What is your return policy?

Do you ship outside the United States?
We ship to select countries outside the United States. If we ship to your country, it will be available in the drop down list at checkout.

What if my shoes are damaged, defective or incorrect?
If you receive a damaged or incorrect pair of shoes, please contact email@example.com with your order number. We’ll take care of you as quickly as we can, but please allow up to 48 hours for a response.
